What is the purpose of scheduled maintenance if a simple oil change takes 4 hours?

My experience with the salesman Dylan Daniel was very good. He was very professional, polite and very knowledgeable about the vehicle I purchased. I have purchased over 30 vehicles in my lifetime, so I know how the purchase routine goes. My purchase experience here went very well, I did have to bargain to get the deal that I wanted. I eventually got a deal that I was happy with. My only issue is, when I drove the vehicle home, I noted a shake in the front end. A shake that I could feel in the floorboard, seat and steering wheel at speeds above 70. The very next morning I spoke with the sales manager, who told me to contact Dylan and he would make arrangements for the truck to be looked at and provide me with a loaner. When I spoke to Dylan, he contacted Service about the issue. Dylan then advised me I would have to put 500 miles on the vehicle before the service department could look at it. This does concern me as it could be more than an out of balance tire, it could be something in the driveshaft and I’m told to put 500 miles on it before they look at it. kind of tough to hear after you bought a $68,000 truck.
